On a W-2 Form Why are the Medicare wages and regular Wages, Tips, and other compensation the same?
I’m not sure why….does anyone know?
There is a cap to the amount of wages that the medicare portion of taxes applies to. So if you earn big bucks the amounts in those boxes will be different because the cap was reached. For most of us peons, the amounts will be the same.
