electrical odor plus a ceiling fan not working?
Last night, I felt an electric hot-ish smell in our room. We have checked all the electronic equipment and none of them were warm, and my husband unplugged all of our surge protector. We could not understand. This morning I went to turn on the living room ceiling fan, and kind of started slow, then stopped. Idea Are related? We call our landlord to have someone out as soon as possible, but I'm still nervous.
Your problem is the fan motor, it will produce a foul odor when it is endangered, do not turn on the fan until it was repaired, you do not need to worry as the fan is stopped.
