Technology HyperControl Range M-Audio Axiom Pro – Introduction
The Axiom Pro Series Controller keyboard mark the beginning of M-Audio HyperControl new technologies, a powerful link between your M-Audio Axiom Pro and the host software which allows you to control the parameters DAW, virtual instruments and plug-in with an unprecedented level of integration dynamics. Beyond mapping Axiom Pro automatically your buttons, buttons, sliders and carpet, HyperControl offers a series of unique features, including continuous two-way communication with your software, intuitive navigation screen LCD only mode of transport and aggregation modular keyboard controls. You can even send ASCII (QWERTY) keyboard shortcuts from your Axiom Pro controller.
While other technologies MIDI-mapping require complicated configurations and offer limited integration with the software Host HyperControl just requires an installation of the software only once before use, and works with many programs, including the main Pro Tools M-Powered, Reason, Cubase and Logic. The LCD-See HyperControl in Action
The controller provides Axiom Pro a large LCD screen that constantly updates to tell you what the parameters are controlled. Unlike other MIDI-mapping technology HyperControl receives "information" from the host software and displays the changes of parameters on the LCD screen in real time.
When using mode HyperControl Mix it four main screens from which to choose. The default home page lists eight tracks under control and Axiom Pro lets you use the encoder knobs to adjust the way panning. The page displays the plug-ins that are loaded on each track and assigns the buttons to control the parameters of plug-in. Send page allows you to use the encoder knobs to adjust the effect send levels for your tracks in Pro Tools.
While the home pages Send and give an overview of a parameter in a bank of eight tracks of Pro Tools, the page Chan provides a detailed overview of all parameters on a specific track Pro Tools. You can use the eight buttons track selection to choose the right way to think and use the button to change the buttons to pan and send levels. The F-keys below the screen LCD monitor can easily navigate and mute / solo the selected track.
Send ASCII (QWERTY) keyboard shortcuts keys numbered
Axiom Pro allows you to send more as MIDI data, you can also send keystrokes ASCII imitating Pro Tools keyboard shortcuts. Finished time to interrupt your creative process to save a session configuration to change or create new tracks. Now you can assign numeric keys and / or pads to make Pro Tools functions from Axiom Pro, minimizing the amount of time you spend with your mouse to control your software.
M-Audio Axiom Pro ships with two models designed specifically for Pro Tools M-Powered (Mac and PC). These factory presets automatically assign the keypad to send pre-defined shortcuts Pro Tools that allows you to trigger functions in common with the tap of a button. Using the easy to navigate menu, you can reassign the buttons to send any ASCII key combination you want, then save your settings in a patch-board memory 50.
Faders use to automate the track volume
Using a tactile control surface for mixing channels can be liberating, it frees you to be tied to the screen computer and gives you a different perspective on music. Axiom Pro offers eight faders to adjust the levels of capacity, plus a ninth fader to control the overall volume. As you bank in the tracks using the buttons F6 and F7, a blue outline will appear in the Pro Tools screen display, showing you channels are now controlled by the HyperControl.
Faders Axiom Pro especially useful when you automate the track volume in Pro Tools M-Powered 8. To enable volume automation in Pro Tools, change the selection of track automation "read" and "Touch", and start Reading your session. The volume changes that you made using the Axiom faders Pro will be recorded in Pro Tools. HyperControl ensure that all changes introduced in Pro Tools are automatically updated on the Axiom Controller Pro, and vice versa.
Use HyperControl position transportation only
When using Pro Axiom with Pro Tools M-Powered 8, the six transport buttons will automatically map to control the transport functions within Pro Tools. This gives you quick and easy to play, stop, scroll, and recording some of the more commonly used in Pro Tools. Unlike other mapping technologies in all-or-nothing, you can also use HyperControl mode of transport only, which frees the rest controls that must be assigned as a traditional MIDI controller.
Use buttons to control the parameters of the plug-in
Using a mouse to change one thing at a time can be laborious and time consuming. Axiom Pro features eight knobs endless so you can get your hands on the plug-in and virtual instrument parameters. The LCD constantly updated to reflect the state current settings you change. It is ideal to explore different settings until you get the right sound. Pro Tools M-Powered 8 even allows you create custom configurations for plug-ins and virtual instruments, allowing you to easily re-map settings on the knobs Axiom Pro.
The eight knobs are perfect for controlling the Digidesign Eleven Guitar Amp Free plug-in that is included in Pro Tools M-Powered 8. HyperControl automatically maps the eight buttons amp settings for Eleven free, so you can gain, EQ, tremolo, master volume, the type of amp and speaker type everything on the fl y. This is like the composition in the perfect tone to an amplifier of sweet-sounding vintage.
Using Virtual Instruments Instrument Control Mode
The F1 button on Axiom Fashion Pro lets you quickly switch between the mode and manner Mixer Instrument. While the Mixer mode lets you adjust the channel parameters such as panning and effects send levels, Instrument mode automatically maps Axiom Pro controls the settings for your virtual instrument plug-ins.
Once you have selected the track you want to order, press the F1 key to enter the mode-mode Instrument all instrument settings Virtual automatically map the controller knobs Axiom Pro. If you prefer to make adjustments using the fader, press the button to switch flip between the faders and knobs. This is an excellent way to control parameters such as virtual instruments from Digidesign DB new organ tonewheel-33, Mini Grand piano, synths and Vacuum Xpand2-all included free with Pro Tools M-Powered 8.
