Pock Its

Pock Its
How do you prounounce Pachelbel’s name?

I’m asking this because I used to pronounce it as Pa-shel-bell

I had people correct me saying its

1) Pock uh bull
2) Pock uh bell
3) Pach kell bell

Okay all three times, these people were sure of it. Can someone who actually studied him or know enough about him tell me how its properly pronounced? I know we often like to Americanize the names so I guess what I want to know is how do you properly say it? And how does people commonly pronounce it? I really love his Canon in D Major and I don’t want to screw up his name. Thanks

It’s Definately Pack-ah-bell

Believe Me, When You’re A String Player, You Play This Piece So Many Times That It’s Impossible To Forget His Name / How To Pronounce It!
