plastic bathroom cup flushed down toilet….now its not flushing right…HELP!!?
My daughter accidentally threw a plastic (little 3oz size) in the toilet this morning, when I flushed it I seen it in there, but couldn’t grab it in time…then my other daughter went to the bathroom and took a big number two….now the toilet isn’t flushing right…the water and the paper went down, but the number two log is still in the bottom after I flushed like five times…
our plunger sucks, so I’m on my way to town to get a new one..but do you think I need one of those snake things to rangle the cup out??
any help would be appreciated..as my husband doesn’t get home til late, and I’d like to fix it myself…thanks!!
Do not use the snake or plunger.
Under no condition do you want to dislodge the cup and push it into the drain pipe. Then you will need a plumber.
Shutoff and disconnect the supply water, then drain and remove the tank.
Then unbolt the toilet and lift it off the drain pipe flange.
Now clear the toilet of the cup.
You will probably need to buy a new wax seal for the bowl, new studs for the flange, and new bolts and seals for the tank to the bowl. Get these before you start, you can always return them if you do not use them.
