Patina Finish
oxidized finishes on metals?
what book would tell me a step by step process of how to achieve different oxidized (?) finishes on steel, brass, copper etc. i am a furniture maker and want to experiment with different finishes on common metals. i basically want to get different colours, textures(?) rainbow effect, antique look, patinas and so on…
Can’t be much help but Aluminium is often used this way. Process to look up on the web is ANODIZING or ANODISING. This forms an artificial coat of aluminium oxide which is easily coloured in various ways.
Regret I don’t know any book for the others.
