acrylic craft grade paint VS. acrylic artist grade paint?
I’m a beginning painter and I’ve been paint with just the cheap craft acrylic paints in the little tubes. Is it important that I upgrade to actual artist acrylics? How much of a difference is there?
If you have been using student grade acrylics, you WILL notice the difference in quality. I do watercolors, and I started out buying a professional grade paint. I happened across a sale at an art supply store, and didn’t realize that they were student grade. The color, the paintablility, everything was poorer.
Your brushes will make a huge difference, also.
You will want to buy the best brushes you can afford. They will last longer, and they won’t shed into your paint.
