What is it with painting crews? Are they ALL drunks?
three different crews and every one of them have shown up late, and stink of booze.
Is this normal???????
I’ve owned and managed property for most of my life, starting with my parent’s and (grand) papa’s rental properties when I was a kid and then for over 10 years in LA. I’ve fired more painters than any other tradesmen. Some would show up late (but, be fine), break for lunch early and hit the liquor store for lunch. For a while, I was actually painting my own units because I couldn’t find a decent painter. That being said, when I finally did find a good, skilled painter who could follow my instructions, show up on time and finish as expected, I held on to him and paid him what he wanted!
