Question on Herring(salt water fish)?
Herring are salt water fish, they
need to expel large amounts of water to offset osmosis
need to take in large amounts of water to offset osmosis
slowly dehydrate over the course of their lives
slowly swell up over the course of their lives

They need to take in water to offset osmosis (as the salt water is hypertonic compared to the fishes blood). But, I dont think they take in enough water over there lives, and so they wil slowly dehydrate.
