Any Tom Waits fans out there?
How would you describe or categorize his music? What songs do you like most?
Some of his albums are uneven but I think Rain Dogs is flawless from beginning to end and I also like Old Shoes (And Picture Postcards), On the Nickel, and Jersey Girl, just to name a few.
My favorite Tom Waits song is a real oldie…
“Big Joe and Phantom 309″ off his Nighthawks at the Diner album, from the 70′s I believe….
love that song which is typical of the moody atmosphere his raspy voice creates in many of his songs.
