How long does it take (the book) to replace the fuel sensor and sending a unit of Ford Powerstroke 2001?
Waiting a return call from the dealership, and they want to replace the fuel pump (mounted on an electrical panel) and rinse injectors. Should I have to do these things, too? And what is the time to r & r fuel pump? It's diesel. Are you sure this is only 0.8 hours to remove and replace fuel sending unit? I know they have to drain and remove the fuel tank, but they want over $ 2,000 to change the unit mailing, replace the fuel pump, changing the fuel filter and flush the injectors. The pump price is only $ 350, I bought at Autozone for $ 150. I know they have a ton of markup, but I thought I tore it.
4.25 hours for all this includes inj. flush, pickup and sending unit, replace the fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel line flush and purge system.
