Painting my bathroom with a red satin finish, but 1st coat left STREAKS! Help!?
I don’t know if it’s a big deal for the first coat to leave streaks, but it’s pretty ugly. I had to menuever around the light fixture, towel rod, and t.p. holder. Some of the paint in thin in places and it’s streaky all over. It was expensive paint and I used a 3/8 nap roller. If I go over it tomorrow with a better roller and take down the rod and holder that are mounted, do you think it will cover up the steaks? I am scared that I ruinied the paint job!
red is a tricky color to use… my bathroom was a mess til the 4th coat!
when we painted a wall in my son’s room, we used primer tinted same color as paint… and only had to do a couple coats that time, worked MUCH better!
be careful no to go over what you have painted while it is still wet… it will lift off the paint rather than apply more…
