How many individual parts are there on a typical modern 4 door family car?
I’d like to know how many parts are there if you had to build it from scratch, or if you disassemble a car and lay it out on ground.
Including every screw, plastic pieces and trim, everything.
How many of those parts are unique (you only use one of that part per car)?
Please be as exact in your answer as you can; don’t bother answering if you are just guessing a ball park figure.

Pick a car, any car, any model, it should be relatively modern, say, made within the last 10 years. give me as accurate a number as you can for the car you pick.
I already know it’s in the hundred of thousand range. I need get much more accurate than that.

The exact amount I’m sure would vary with vehicles, but just to get an idea, let’s look at a 4-cylinder, 5-speed manual:
Block, head, crankcase, valve cover = 4
Pistons = 4
Piston rings (3 per piston) = 12
Valves (4 per cylinder) + springs = 32
Camshafts (DOHC) = 2
Head gasket + crankcase gasket = 2
Radiator, alternator, power steering pump, water pump, radiator cap, thermostat, battery, starter motor = 8
Crankshaft + flywheel = 2
Air conditioner compressor, condenser, evaporator, expansion valve = 4
Heater core + blower = 2
Ignition coil + distributor + lead = 3
Spark plugs + leads = 8
Fuel injectors = 4
Intake manifold + exhaust manifold = 2
Catalytic converter + muffler = 2
Clutch plate, clutch cover, pressure plate, throwout bearing = 4
Manual transmission = 3 shafts (input, layshaft, output)

We’re up to 181 now, and I haven’t even included fastenings. An automatic transmission probably has a good 100 clutches in it alone!
