Why are employers in the southern red states importing workers from the northern (blue) states?
to fill jobs in the south? For example, in michigan, Bosch recently closed a plant here and move to North Carolina to save on labor costs. They are now being forced by their customers to move operations back to MI because they can’t get the level off skillled, motivated workers needed to meet production quotas and are under threat of major law suit.
Unemployed michigan workers are flocking out of the state and southern employers hiring us as fast as we can apply. What does that say about ‘lazy’ union workers etc?
Unemployed in an industrial states? You have a guaranteed job in the southern state of your pick. Seriously!
have to disagre that southern states are underpopulated. Ever been to Texas? Also, can’t say that the cost of living is lower in south. I’m being tapped right and left for jobs in the south and I’ve researched living costs. They are comprable or more in southern states (when you consider Florida, NC, Virginia and Texas)
Skilled labor in the northern states has always been
in high demand in the south

to have a skilled, trained worker relocate
then it does to train, supervise and acquire the necassary skills of an inexperienced worker
