Metal Grinding
Grinding metal noise coming from back of car, i presume break shoes need replaceing?
How much should i be looking at to replace them in a garage, its a 2000 vauxhall astra, 1.6

So then – now a non-American answer – why don’t they check to see where the question comes from, it’s not hard!
If it i just the shoes then a Kwik Fit type place will charge you around £100 but if you have scored the drums, which is highly possible you need to add around £120. If you try a small local independent garage it will cost less. Get them to quote a price for shoes only and then shoes and drums, both to include labour and consumables like brake cleaner before they start work.
