Lock Handle
My window handle turns but doesn’t engage the cams on the two ended brackets on the frame to lock the window
I have removed the only screw under the handle – can’t pull the handle out for inspection. I’ve also removed the 12 screws on the side locking mechanism plate but how do I dismantle it?
as others have said there will be another screw under a cover cap securing the handle in position.
if the handle isn’t loose then the espagnolette lock mechanisms’ gearbox is usuall broken.
replacements are available but find someone locally /recommended as there are various types to suit your window profile.
