What are the key elements of a novel heart-wrenching of?
I work on a short story, and I wondered what makes you sad, but attention-grabbing plot. Are there important things to stay away from as well as elements that I understand? Please be specific!
Hey Kenzie. To make a sad story, you must have situations that are sad and describe them that way. In a film, we see what happens but in a book we read about it. You must show the sadness in your own words. You need to take the sadness of your drive. You need to manipulate the emotions your reader. To do this, using the five senses – hearing, taste, sight, touch, smell – and showing the characters' physiological reactions to the things that are sad. As for attracting attention, you need a crisis. Some crises can be realized or settled, but some can not. For your sad story, your crisis is unlikely to have any good solution. The main character must accept his fate or simply live her.
