Iron levels… when is it dangerous…? Anaemia.?
When I had my baby I was only discharged from hospital on the promise that I would discuss a blood transfusion with my GP and asked to be booked in.
I failed to follow through on that promise, simply because I didn’t want to leave my baby.
Now she’s 15 months old, my iron level is at 7 and I am SO TIRED. I’m light headed, if someone touches me it feels like they’ve poked me, my periods have stopped and I have mild acne.
I have Irritable Bowel Syndrome which leaves me constipated and taking iron on top of that is like sewing my bowel up (Sorry for adding this bit). I have tried supplements as well as iron tablets but neither helped.
How do I ask my Doctor for the iron injection, and who is eligible for it?
What is dangerously low for your iron level?

I take 3 x 200mg iron pills a day as im really anaemic.. and i also get a vitamin B12 injection every three month as of the Armenia ?? so perhaps you could speak to your doctor about both iron and B12 injections ?? as i feel tired, slow and lethargic before my injection and full of life after it.. but don’t delay in talking to him as it sounds like you need help now !!..
