suburban furnace ignitor voltage?
My igniter wont spark when i check the voltage its around 22 volts dc buyt it just wont ignite…is it the igniter that is bad here or the thermolcoupler
If i can read 24 volts at the leads into the igniter does it not stand to reason that it is bad seeing as how it wont spark. The porcline is cracked and the probe in the center seems short.
so i was right the igniter was bad…new works great. Check the stat that was the first thing id check.
1st check to make sure that the tstat is good, connect the hot and ground together if the furnace comes on its a bad tstat, if the tstat is good check the limit switch and sail switch, the sail switch (sail switch’s tend to get dirty) is in front of the blower and the limit switch is in the back.
