Huntington Phoenix

Would this be illegal?
My father is thinking about renting a 1 bedroom apartment in Huntington Beach, California. The plan with it is that him and I would live there, but every other two weeks he would be staying in Phoenix, Arizona leaving me alone for two weeks on and off. Is this legal? I am fifteen years old, turning sixteen in July.
That’s what him and I were thinking, but I want to be safe since I do not want to end up in foster care.
Don’t worry, he would come back, it’s complicated to explain this situation. Food and such wouldn’t be an issue.
You could make an annomyous call to your local CPS office and ask them, but really unless you get the cops called to your house for something then you wouldnt have anything to worry about.
