Tiny hole on aluminum tubing ?
What is the most effective way/s to mend a tiny hole on a refrigerator aluminum tubing. I have applied a few coats of heat stick and allowed it to dry but to no avail.I have cleaned the area around the hole properly.
I have been in the heating and ac repair for better than 40 years. If you are talking of the alum tubing in a refer tubing it’s self there is an alum welding rod on the market. You can try but I have never had any luck with it. Saw a demo at the fair where this guy welded a coke can bottom with a small hole, Me NO WAY. I would say take it to a welding shop and let them have a go. I don’t think they will want to try it. Call first and see. You might also try and see if you have a alum machine shop around they also might help.
If that is a no go. New Box time. Sorry.
