Douglas County Jail Gets Solar Water Heating System
Douglas County inmates will soon be using water warmed by solar power as part of the county’s efforts to make public buildings more environmentally sustainable. The county is installing five solar panels at the jail, which will be used to produce 500 gallons of hot water each day during the summer.
