Head Self
I think i have a blown head gasket on my bmw 318i. How much to do or can i do it my self?
i filled up my water tank with cold water and the heating seemed to stop working. I have been advised that i may have blew the gasket as the water in the tank is bubbling over like its boiling. The water is very hot and there is allot of steam. I thought i had just put to much water in the tank HELP…i don’t know much about this sort of thing lol.
first off, do not run you car if the engine is boiling over. It sounds like you have not blown your head gasget…yet. It could be something simple like a stuck thermastat, which would prevent the water from circulating through your engine and therefore causing it to overheat. The overheating will eventually blow your head gasget or something even worse. first, get your friend who knows something about cars to replace your thermastat for you. If that doesn’t work, it could be your water pump. good luck.
