Grip Screwdriver
Will Craftsman replace this?
My uncle just bought a new cordless screwdriver, and he gave me his old one. The reason he got the new one is because the old one, the 3 prongs that grip the bit 2 of them are broken. Will I be able to take this to sears and get it replaced or get parts to fix it? Its several years old, but don’t all Craftsman products have a lifetime warranty? or even if they won’t replace it where can i get parts to fix it?

The part that grips the bit is called the “chuck”. These can be replaced. Either with a keyed or keyless chuck. Open it all the way and inside would be a nut with a washer or a screw usually left handed(It tightens to the left and loosens to the right.) the replacement chuck can be purchased at the local hardware store for $10-$25. I replaced my when one of the prongs broke with a Jacobs chuck bought at harbor freight for $8. Good luck
