How long will my car battery last?
i have a 3500 watt amp with 2 15′s in my truck.
its a mitsubishi montero sport 1999.
i have a duralast gold in there right now..bought it about 2 months ago.
ive been banging the radio loud as hell and now im about to go to georgia and im not sure if my battery can take me…
am i safe on battery?
how long does it take to run out?

Driving, right? Altenator works, right? In other words, no red lights on the dashboard saying battery or no charge or something red? Then it is being charged while the engine is running. No one is fool enough to draw all the juice out of the battery.(how are you gonna start your car?) Once the car is running it takes a half hour of driving if the battery is really low to charge the battery up to 3/4-7/8 full.
You bought the battery 2 months ago. You have it in the car hooked up, right? Then it gets charged, every time you cruise. Thats the way it works. If you sit too long in one spot with engine off and headlights on and stereo on and whatever on, the battery will die(because it is not being charged) it only has so much life. Otherwise, it will last in the car for about 5 years.
