How to connect Dell laptop to Hitachi 50inch TV.?
TV has S-Video. I bought VGA to TV Converter S-Video RCA OUT CABLE ADAPTER ( 2 Converter). Connection to PC okay, but yellow and black Converter`s don’t, they have same ends (don`t know proper name) as my TV. The only way I can explain it is, TV S-Video and Adapter both have female connections. Have searched on-line and computer shops, but no luck. I need yellow and black connector`s with prongs to fit into TV. Hope I`m making sense. I want to watch films on TV through memory stick in computer.

S-video connectors look like this:

Many laptops already have an S-video connector, but if you have a converter already, then what you probably ended up having is a female port on it, like this (see the center of the two square connections):

That type of female connection is probably what you have on your TV, so all you need is an S-video cable, designated M-M (Male to Male).
If you have S-video going to your TV, you do NOT need the yellow composite video connection as well. Composite video cables look like this:

so if you already have a VGA to S-video converter, and your TV has an S-video input, you need this type of cable:

I think where you are getting confused is, your adapter has both composite and S-video connections on the output side. You don’t need both, just one or the other, they both deliver video. The S-video will deliver slightly better quality video signal.
