Fein Multimaster
What’s the difference between a Dremel Multimax and a Fein Multimaster 250Q?
Other than the price. It’s for a gift, so don’t leave anything out (ie., not what you heard, what you know to be true.) Should I spend the money and get the Multimaster?
And if I should get the Dremel multimax, is there a certain model number I should look for?
I’m a construction contractor, and I own the Multimax. I’ve never used the Fein, but I can vouch for the Multimax being a tough little tool. I’ve had it for a year, and given it some hard use. I’ve cut copper pipe with it, drywall, baseboard, and undercutting doorjambs for flooring.
More importantly than price, the other consideration is the widespread availability of the Multimax blades. I only know one place to buy Fein blades, but I can get MM blades at any Lowe’s or Home Depot.
At this point in time, I think the Multimax is available in only one model.
