Bountiful Backpacks
Wow, there are a lot of backpacks to choose from this year. There are so many new features and styles that there is one for everyone. The University collection from Victorinox Swiss Army has the new Z Force shoulder straps. These are a patented comfort technology with nylon outside. They have soft-framed high-density foam inside with a moisture wicking fabric. This ultra-padded, channeled back panel promotes airflow moisture-wicking with ClimaTech mesh, which keeps the wearer cool and dry. These backpacks all have a large capacity and additionally will hold laptops securely. There’s also a secure iPod sleeve, which allows access to controls and detaches from your shoulder strap. This allows you to rest your ear buds and keep cords tangle-free. Whether you’re looking for this type of backpack for school or for travel with your lightweight luggage, it’s the perfect size and weight. Victorninox Swiss Army backs all of their backpacks with their warranty against manufacturing defects in material and workmanship for the life of the product. They are built to last and are great looking too.
Columbia Sportswear Company has introduced some large capacity backpacks. These are over 2,000 cubic inches and made of abrasion-resistant urethane coated 600D polyester, which provides enhanced tear strength. They have an easy access padded computer compartment. Stretch knit wicking polyester encased closed-cell foam padding gives extra back support and comfort. Their “S” curved shoulder straps are laminated with EVA foam for additional comfort. Besides the oversized front pocket with organizer panel and key clip, these exciting backpacks also have an MP3 pocket with rubber cord port. They also have a backpack on wheels for those of us that would rather wheel our books and papers. These are complete with an internal padded and lined laptop compartment, plus three more compartments and an organizer. They have a deluxe dual stage retractable handle and oversized wheels. The abrasion resistant zippers with nickel-plated zipper sliders are YKK RC. There’s also a daisy chain to attach accessories. These backpacks are so generous in size that you’ll be tempted to let them replace your discount luggage.
One of the most well known brands in backpacks has been making them for nearly 40 years. Of course, we’re talking about Jansport. Their new AirLift Suspension Systems make even a heavy load feel light. They measure 50% less carrying pressure than conventional backpacks. The straps are made of a unique, shock absorbing and highly resilient flexible material that disperses the weight load evenly. The shape of the straps is ergonomically designed to fit the natural contours of the body. The result of this design is maximum comfort regardless of the weight you are carrying. Jansport also has rolling backpacks for your convenience and ease in carrying a lot of weight.
You can move to the head of the class with High Sierra backpacks. These supersized cases have multiple large compartments, which open wide for easy-access. Their flex-use sleeve holds most 17″ screen sized notebook computers. They have a versatile flip-down shoulder strap pocket, which allows you to operate your MP3 player without removal. An open mesh shoulder strap media pocket offers more storage. Zippered side pockets will hold a water bottle or other gear. Sunglasses have their own zippered top accessory pocket. There’s also a deluxe organizer with multiple pockets and a removable key fob. The adjustable side compression straps will secure heavy loads. The yoke-style S-shaped shoulder straps have comfortable Vapel mesh Airflow padding. The contour-molded back panel offers additional comfort. All of these cases are built to last and get you through that busy school or travel time!
