Electrostatic Furnace
Electrostatic airfilter – you don’t plug in- that has it all?
I’m looking for a permanant electrostatic airfilter (that you simply rinse, not replace) for my furnace. I’m hoping to find one that you don’t have to plug in, don’t have to get professionally installed, and has a prefilter (layer?) and carbon (layer?). I have horrible asthma and allergies.
Snake Oil
Those things are too air flow restrictive for most systems and cause more problems than they are worth.
Better filtration means airflow restriction, and you need to increase the size of the filter surface area to reduce the restriction.
