What is the difference between a gas trimmer and an electric trimmer for the outside grass?
I don’t know much about these things? does a gas trimmer perform better? which one is less hassle?
Its the power and length of use. Gas powered weed eaters can go and go and go. Just until you run out of string. Electric power is limited to lower strength and how long a cord you have. The newer battery operated ones depends on the lasting power of the battery and again strength. One of the responders made mention that a gas powered has oil and filter changes. They must not own one. These are what they call 2 stroke engines. Which means that the oil is mixed with the gas, NO filters to change.
Yes the only downside is the noise and fumes. And not much fumes. But they get your job done quick. I have had both electric and gas. I will never give up my gas powered weed eater.
