is using a space heater better than using an electric heat pump unit ?
I’m trying to save money on my electric bill, and I’m using a space heater to heat my room all day. I want to know if the cost would be the same if I just use the electric heat pump to heat up my apartment.
The watts on the space heater are 1500Watts.
no, the heat pump is more efficient than the electric space heater. You are losing money by using the latter.
But heating one room is better than heating a multi-room unit. So if you only have one thermostat, it may be more efficient to heat the main room and let the others cool down.
