i got a royal unuion bike headlight with a 2.4 w bulb it used to have a generator but broke.
i also got a toggle switch at radio shack to turn on the light and to turn off the light. i want to know how to power both with out a explosion and i want to use 2 double a batterys to power light and switch so will this work and how would i wire it?
The best solution is to swap out the stock light bulb and replace it with an LED light (less wattage required for the same light output) within the same housing. White LED’s use about 3.0 volts each at 20 mA (.020 amps). You’ll be able to use two AA batteries in series to power them.
