How hot should a door chime transformer get?
I just installed a heath/zenith door chime using a heath/zenith wired transformer. The door chime works fine, but the transformer is pretty warm. I realize transformers do get hot, but how hot? It is hot, but not so hot that i can’t touch it and keep my hand on for as long as I want.
If you spit on it and it sizzles it’s too hot, if not it’s OK
