In cars why disc brakes are in the front wheels and drum brakes in rear wheels are?
In small cars (like Toyota Corolla) we see that the drum brakes are still on the back wheels and disc brakes are in the front wheels. Can someone explain reason?
The result is consistent with the physical … The car stopped transfers all its weight before. Disc brakes are better quality, and average fuel-efficient cars, they are at the front. You have rear drum brakes to stabilize the car, but most of braking power is at the front. Look at the front wheels relative to the rear and you will notice that the front is dirty, because that all the dust from the brake pad front brake. On the high-end cars you will see all four wheels have disc brakes, but even Then, the front brakes are even larger in diameter. AFEW BMW and other companies to use 4 wheel discs, but add to a drum in the back settup for the parking brake. Very nice!
