How do I connect an old two wire thermostat to a new digital thermostat?
what type of heat do you have?
is it a furnace or is it electric baseboard heat?
if the old unit controls a furnace hook the 2 wires to where the directions indicate.
if the old unit controls electric baseboard hear. stop and check the voltage.
the old thermostat maybe a line voltage unit and the programmables units are designed for 24v. also the amps drawn from the heater would melt the small wires in the programmable unit.
