Tips Desoldering necessary?
I'm new to this so maybe I need more practice … I'll try to get some elements off an old circuit, but it is not easy. I use a soldering iron to heat the solder, then use a desoldering pump to get rid of him, a problem is not that I can get all the welds off so that even after 2 or 3 pumps there is still a small amount left. It is easier to just heat the solder and lift the component with a knife in the same time, but it is very difficult and slow. How do I use a pump correctly? Do I get braids instead, is that easier / better?
It depends on the pump you have. They will not be a good job if you do not keep clean inside. A test you can do is to cover the tip of your finger when you release the button and see if it maintains aspiration. If the pull back the rod (or whatever you call it) does not extract the backup, then you have a good aspiration. In addition, we hope that you are using a soldering iron with low power as 27 watts. You can also try desoldering braid / wick. It looks like a small wrist strap that is saturated with flow. Removing an item when welding is the fusion might work, but you also have the option to withdraw from the eyelet or solder pad for that component. You can also apply soldering flux to the touch and warm, and Solder Puliti try again. Make sure the Login soldering / pad is cleaned of contaminants before trying to remove components.
