Why does my mobo have 2 ethernet ports?
I did my first build, as there is about 2 years and I noticed that my mobo has 2 ports ethernert. I have a hard wired Internet connection without a router and my computer connected to it. What is the second ethernet port and I can connect a second computer so that the computer would have access to the Internet instead of having a router? Sometimes I might like to have a friend to come with their laptops so that we can both surf the web at the same time. 2 Ethernet ports, sounds like a "teamwork" Nvidia concept. It is basically a concept of having two Ethernet connections 1gig each, working together to enable a single connection 2Gig. Think is drinking with two straws at once. Unless you have a huge pipe to the Internet .. Can you think of a situation that you need a pipe 2 gig? Most ISPs cap around 10 MB for home use …
