Worth the price
I purchased this charger after the one that came with my drill died. In my research I discovered that some chargers will overhcarge and kill the batteries and charger. This charger turns off when the battery is charged, so it extends the life of the battery and the charger. This was a great purchase that I wish I made sooner before killing my batteries. The only thing I will say is that it was difficult to find this product online. It was not available on the manufacturer’s web site and the product descriptions weren’t helpful either. Fortunately, a few people, like me, offered product reviews with this information. I wasn’t 100 percent sure when I ordered it would be the correct model, but I listened to the advise of my fellow home fix-it warriors! Thanks guys! Mr. Manufacturer – Work on your product descriptions and availability. It also was hard to find the higher voltage I needed.

I have a 24 v Firestorm drill. The original charger died on it and I needed a replacement. I found the same original charger for much less, and nearly bought one. Then I found out that most chargers only go bad because a battery is defective!
That’s when I found this. This charger will not blow out if you have a bad battery. Instead, it tests the battery and alerts you to the defective pack. Guess what, I had a defective battery! This little beauty saved me from blowing up another el cheapo charger.
On top of that it charges my battery packs faster and better than the original charger ever did. My battery lasts longer, and it’s fully charged within two hours. If you need a charger for a 24v Firestorm, this is the one.

It’s better than the stock charger “wall wart” that comes w/ the tools. This thing charges quickly and does not damage the battery if left in the charger. I feel much more confident now that I have this. I think my original charger went bad because a) it was plugged in all summer; and b) because it had a battery plugged into it 90% of that time. I’m just lucky I didn’t loose a battery, all though one seems to be not lasting as long any more. Maybe time for a trip to Batteries Plus for a battery refurbish…
