Key facts about using a low voltage circuit breaker
A lower circuit breaker is ideal for circuits that are valued at 600 volts or less. Applications include residential, commercial and industrial. The characteristics of the circuit breakers are set low by international standards such as CIS 947.
These circuit breakers are generally mounted in the draw-out boxes that allow the removal and exchange without having to dismantling the apparatus. There are two types of low voltage circuit breakers. These are the miniature circuit breaker and the circuit breaker molded case.
In the Breakers Miniature Circuit, the rated current not exceeding 100A. They are ideal for use thermal or thermal-magnetic, and travel characteristics are not adjustable.
In low voltage molded case circuit breaker, rated current up to 1000A. His current trip can be adjustable in large dimensions, and the operation includes thermal or thermal-magnetic.

Low voltage circuit breakers that operate at 600 volts AC must be inspected and maintained every 1 and 3 years depending on operating conditions.
In most cases, the conditions that require inspection are regular high humidity and high ambient temperatures, more equipment, operations, frequent breakdowns, frequent switching operations, corrosive atmosphere and dusty.
All circuit breakers, including low voltage circuit breakers, to except a few, have a link between the handle and contacts that enable rapid action break contact, no matter how fast the handle is moved.
The handle of low voltage circuit breaker is designed so that it can not be closed for a short circuit or overload. If the breaker opens under one of these conditions, the handle will be in the position to free tripping.
The trigger position Free is often mid-way between off and on positions. Unless the handle is pushed to the OFF position, it can not be re-closure. Your breaker home must be well maintained.
