Horse race betting has continued for nearly a century. You can place more than one type of betting on each horse race. The most common types are show bets, place bets and win bets. While win bets include those horses slated to win the match, place bets involve betting on those which finish in the first or second position. On the other hand, show bet involves betting on those horses slated to appear on top three. Win bet payouts are higher than show and place bet.
Exotic Horse Race Related Betting
Another common type of betting is the order in which the horses are able to finish the race. This is known as exotic betting. The four main types of betting include superfecta, trifecta, exacta and quinella. Quinella bet includes those which finish in the first two positions, irrespective of the order.
Exacta bet includes picking the second and first place horse in order. Trifecta bet includes selecting those horses which finish in the first three racing events in finishing order. The hardest to win bet is superfecta, which often includes first four houses, with huge payouts.
