White smoke/condensation in air conditioner, what does this sound like?
Yesterday there was a puddle of what looked like radiator fluid under my truck. It was neon green. My dad came to check it out and he said it was fine, but to keep an eye on the temperature. When I drove it yesterday it seemed like something was going on with the condensation and the air conditioner. It looked like white smoke but it smelt funny too. It’s a 99 F-150 w/ 185k miles on it! Is it low on freon/coolent or could that puddle under my truck have really been mine and I have a leak? I’ve never had a problem with condensation/white smoke in the air conditioner until I saw the puddle. If anyone has any ideas what I could do or what might be happening it would be greatly appreciated if you could let me know!!!! Thanks so much and have a wonderful day! Sounds to me like a leak in the heater core.
Sounds like you are losing coolant, probably due to the leak in the heater core.
Make sure you have enough coolant in your cooling system.
If you know what you are doing, by-pass the heater core until you can get it fixed.
