What is the best way to sharpen bowl gouges?

How can I narrow gauge hand bowl? I do not have a grinder and probably will not be able to afford one for a while, but they gave me a beautiful set of scissors for Christmas and they need to get that first sharpening before I can use them. I have both the small 3 "X 1" sharpening stone and the 8 large "X 3". I know how to sharpen scissors flat, but the gauges bowl left me speechless.

I have not had relations with sharpening woodworking tools, but I am a woodcarver and I sharpen all my hand tools carving. We have a club of carpenters and wood carvers of a club of our region. You can check around your area to see if they have one. They can give you some good advice on different areas of woodworking and a sharpening tool. I have no grinder. What use is a 1 / 4 "motor variable speed drill and a sanding disc to sharpening preliminary. I cut a piece of leather and attached to a disk to polish off the burrs. I use polish on leather. I think that the advantage with the variable speed drill motor is that you can run as fast or slow as you want and the disadvantage is that you can take the tool with one hand to control it. I checked on the web to see if I could find any tool of "the hand of Wood grinding techniques "and those that I find no mention of the bowl gouge, but they are the same as carving tools Bentwood.
