Old Home … New wall timer for bathroom ceiling heater … too many wires!?
Junction box only has 2 wires .. black and white, no ground. Timer has 4 wires: black, white, red, green. Assume black to black, white to white and need to use a screw to attach green wire to junction box but what do I do with the red wire? Or am I totally off base? Thanks!
Hope your box is hooked to conduit, which will be your ground. Hook the green wire to this box. red wire is hooked to the black from the power source.two black wires have to be hooked to the black and white power to the heater
