CCD cameras?
I know that CCD is "charge-coupled device," but I was wondering how this relates to the quality of a camera. I was watching a cheap video camera with 1 / 6 "CCD. Can anyone tell me what it really means and how it is good compared to others on the market?
The CCD image sensor. It captures the image of the lens and converts it into digital format sent to the recording device. Some camcorders have one, some have three. The 1 / 6 "CCD is about par for the course with Camcorders bottom of the range. With the size of the CCD, it is quite simple, the bigger the better. In addition, if the device has three CCDs instead of one, color rendering will be even better, you probably lose some low-light performance, though. Hope this helps!
