Medical alert systems have given seniors Across America the ability to live independently in their own home, the place they are most comfortable. Knowing that help is a push of a button not give you peace of mind to live your life as you wish.
Worried about a single parent home senior:
Caring for an elderly mother or father can be very stressful for parents and there children. My stepmother was in hospital for several weeks and his health is not great. She had half his right lung removed a year ago from scar tissue from smoking and she also has a rapid heartbeat. She came to stay with us for a month but my wife and I could not not be at home all the time. Even when we are home, have a medical alert system in the house, it is easier to sleep. If she difficulty breathing or she feels weak, it all has to do is press the button on his wrist like a watch it. My stepmother did 1 would not because she thought an ambulance or fire brigade came. I told him, the operator can talk to him as a 2-way radio and they can call me or on my cell phone to call his doctor if we were not home. The operator asked him if something is wrong and they should call anyone. If nobody answers, they will contact one we put on the sheet and call the local police or an ambulance. We had my mother Indoor laws put in place in the lower level to try to give him some space, it could call its own. If she was having a problem, you can here the medical alert system throughout the house. The area we were very concerned about the bathroom. It was an area where it had fallen to the hospital, but the warning unit could still find his voice the bathroom.
We also received a special lock the door before the people have the emergency code. This code unlocks the locking unit, which has a key inside the house, this way people from the police or ambulance does not have to hit the door.
We tested the camera a few times until she was comfortable and she wears the button all the time, even in the shower. You can even take your systems when you go on vacation. After she felt better and returned to his own home, simply call the company warning Medical and created her. Knowing that she has some security with it takes some stress in our lives.
