Is this a good product: Washing Venta air purifier / humidifier?

I've never owned one, but the cost to the small volume of air it can handle seems very high. Most unit has a capacity of 210 CFM and cost about $ 1,500. It is a very high price. They say that will cover 2800 square feet, but I doubt that. By Compared 210 CFM of air conditioning is probably good for about 500 square meters in an average home.
