I’m having a problem removing the alternator in my car?
I have a 1995 Nissan Altima,I am trying to remove the alternator,I am on the last nut on the bottom of the alternator, and the bolt will not come out,I’ve tried liquid wrench, wd 40 and I’ve used every tool I can think of,the only thing that I can get a good grip with is an 11mm socket wrench.It is also very cold here,are there any useful suggestions to what I can do to get the nut to come out?Do mechanics make housecalls to help me get it out?I believe the nut I am talking about is the adjusting nut.It is the last nut on the bottom of the alternator.
Remove he belt on the pully wheel and make sure there is not a nut on the back side of that bolt, you may need to hold both to get the bolt out. It may be just turning both sides. Good luck.
